It was a lovely day for a hike in the Maumturk Mountains. But it was very windy, and my legs are short…so that’s our group way up there on the path, while I stayed behind to take some pictures of the scenery. Road not taken, indeed.

A little bit of sun makes this proud foxglove look positively radiant. Just a taste of the wild beauty of the Connemara region. We had a beautiful hike in the Maumturks (though the rest of the group was more interested in hiking, and I was more interested in taking pictures of every flower…)
