I don’t drink much beer, and I definitely don’t drink much Guinness, but stopping by the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin was still pretty fun. The highlight for me was the Gravity Bar on the top floor, where you can have a pint and enjoy great views of the city. But the view from down below is also interesting…it reminds me of a flying saucer!

I don’t particularly like Guinness; in fact, I would never willingly order any kind of stout here in the US. But I heard the rumors that Guinness actually tastes different in Ireland (specifically in Dublin at the Guinness Storehouse), so I figured I had to at least try it while I was there. I only got a half pint in case it was still terrible.
Guess what: the rumors are right. I actually enjoyed this Guinness, which managed to be smooth and almost creamy and not totally bitter like I’m used to. Some times experimenting pays off.

Even the post boxes are green

They don’t call Ireland the Emerald Isle for nothing! I had so many pictures to choose from this week, I tried to give a varied selection. Every landscape has multiple shades of green from grasses and fields and shadows. Even in the cities, green is everywhere!

A trip to the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin is worth it for the view out of the top floor Gravity Bar. (The pint was actually pretty good, too.) You can see so much of the city, and there is some info about what all the sights are.
