Strangely, I took no pictures of sunrise or sunset on this Ireland trip, but between the long summer days and all the hiking, etc., I did not have much cause to be awake at either sunrise or sunset.
This, however, was an early morning sight upon rising in Dingle: a charming way to start the day. Everything about Dingle is charming. I enjoyed the view of the cows eating their breakfast as we were eating ours.

From Gougane Barra.
I’ve featured the lovely location of Gougane Barra before in photo challenges (like Textures), but I haven’t yet shown its cheeky side. Our breakfast at the hotel, for example, was very happy to see us, and one of the building sports a cute old Guinness ad. We found such charming touches all over Ireland amid the more serious history lessons and inspiring landscapes. I think the Irish have a wonderful sense of humor!

Ways in which Ireland is superior to the US:
- better yogurt flavors
- single serve Nutella
- brown soda bread
- tea (with milk and sugar) available on demand
- last but not least: views like this at breakfast!
