What a unique challenge we have this week. Patti asks us to pick a color, then “start with a photo of a big subject in that color….and move all the way down to a small subject in that same color.” I’m going with my favorite color, blue!
Large

Water meeting sky gives a sense that the whole world is blue! It is such a calming color, is there any surprise that the people in these pictures are all gazing to the horizon? It’s just natural.

Medium
Sometimes a pop of blue can come up in unexpected places.

Small
There are not that many blue flowers around here, so I have to appreciate them when I find them!
You can find more colors from large to small at the original Lens-Artist challenge.
Ooh…I er, hate to point out that the sky is technically black and only looks blue due to the particles in our atmosphere breaking the light from the sun to appear blue…but as that image of St Augustine is so amazing I’ll let it count! That beach also reminds me of the beach at Gdansk (yes it has a beach) and when I visited there was a music festival taking place to the east end and to the west were the shipyards covered by a thunderstorm. But it was what happened in the sky that amazed me….I witnessed an astral phenomenon as our planet passed through the tail of our galaxy (it was in 1996). I was laid on the beach watching asteroids and meteor streaks above, whilst lightning hit the shipyards to my right and the lights of a pop concert glowed to my left! Thanks for reminding me and great imagery as always.

I’ve always loved blue hydrangeas – I just don’t think they do well in our southern climate although we had them at our home in the north. Lovely post Mei-Mei

Though I complain about the winters, there are definitely things to appreciate about Ohio 🙂

Blue hydrangeas….a perfect choice and a lovely, lovely color, Mei-Mei. They are among my favorite flowers, too.

This particular bush has both pink and blue flowers, without my having to do anything to it! It’s so cool.
