The world outside my window is very snowy right now, but one of the things I love about Ohio is its variability. I love that we get four true seasons every year, and I appreciate each one! My appreciation of winter is growing limited at the moment, but I know it won’t last forever.
Stairs
Here we have both indoor and outdoor stairs in Ireland, both a bit perilous in their own way. We carried our luggage up these stairs when staying in Ballynahinch Castle, but that was nothing compared to walking the stone steps on Skellig Michael in the wind with no handrail.
Street

The streets of Pompeii are a marvel of Roman engineering. In addition to being laid out methodically, they feature sidewalks, embedded reflector stones, and crosswalks.
Salamanca, Spain
I spent a semester in Salamanca during university and a piece of my heart will always remain. A beautiful city, a friendly and fun city, and so full of history. These were my daily sights: the double cathedral, the Plaza Mayor, and my host family’s street in the east part of the old city.
My inner world is even more complex and crazy. I am an introvert, a storyteller, a scientist, a dreamer, and most of all a nerd. Here are some of the things I’ve shared on this blog that give you a glimpse into my headspace.

LOL, I suspect we are all nerds Mei-Mei! Your images are lovely. Don’t blame you a bit for tiring of winter but those snowy images are food for the soul to those of us who live in the south. We get to enjoy the snow without having to put up with the cold!

Hi Mei-Mei, we have snow here in the UK at the moment (it’s just beginning to melt away) and I love snowy scenes – they’re Hoth! Seriously though the white of the snow really makes the splashes of colour “Pop” as shown in your fern and berries pictures – and just look how dramatic Maul looks on that white page. So snow may be colder but it just means yo have the wrong clothing on to deal with it 😀
(Great reading material btw – I really need to buy my own copies of Zahn’s book’s to keep, so far I borrowed them from my local lending library).
