Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #104: Summer

Summer in my mind is tied to Florida, the state where I grew up.  We actually try to avoid returning for a visit in the summer months because the weather can be objectively miserable.  But there’s nothing like sunny day in Florida to really feel like summer!

We took a trip there almost exactly two years ago.

We spent some time burning our feet on the beach sand as well as taking a stroll through a state park.

The local wildlife enjoys the sun, too.  And what is better in summer than a cold drink?  I had missed Dr. Publix! 😂

If you are at the beach for a summer vacation, what is more essential than a book?  Happy summer reading!

Oh I know just what you mean about Florida summers Mei-Mei – ours are much the same. The ocean breezes do bring us some lovely relief tho. Love the books/no book sign 🙂

A few years ago, in August, I spent a few weeks in Florida and it won’t happen again… 😉
