Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #97- Pastimes

My trip to Ireland with my mom allowed me to appreciate many pastimes: hiking, biking, gardening, and drinking.

But seriously, there is nothing I would rather spend time on than reading.  And for bibliophiles, there is no better place than a library; the one at Trinity College in Dublin is the most spectacular I’ve ever seen.

You can find more pastimes at the original Lens-Artist challenge, this week brought to us by guest host Sue (Mac’s Girl).

Hi Mei-Mei, I think I could spend a few hours browsing through the archives and Jedi Holocrons….sorry books in Trinity College! Though I’m not sure how I would cope drinking in a place named “Gravity Bar”… I’m more used to the vacuum of space.

Haha, I was just reading about how the college was considering legal action because Lucas didn’t get permission to use the library’s image in AOTC, but of course Lucasfilm denies there was any influence (right…😂).
The Gravity Bar is up so high you might feel like you are in space! I don’t even really like Guinness and it was worth the price of admission.

Doesn’t it? I had an image of it as my desktop background for a long time.

Excellent response to the challenge. Mei-Mei! I’d love to spend some time at that library, not only for the books, but the architecture looks amazing. Thank you for sharing your pictures of your trip to Ireland and for participating in the challenge.

Looked like a lovely trip, Mei mei. 👍🏻 The library looks Harry Potter-ish. 😀

I, too, would enjoy the library. Mostly to wander around and see the beautiful building. Ireland has such a way of inspiring us to inspire every little nook and cranny. Nice example.

How did I miss this post. HOW?! Love the hiking path. Guinness is a worthwhile pastime, though Smithwicks is my preference. The Trinity Library is incomparable. Books! I’ve been saddened ever since they burned the Library of Alexandria. 😉
