When people at work ask where my desk is, I usually just tell them to look for the Star Wars stuff. I typically pull off pages that I particularly like from my Star Wars desk calendar and tape them up. This gives me lots of pretty pictures that I can change frequently. Here are some I’ve had up in previous years. For Star Wars Day I thought I’d share my current decorations.
Last year’s calendar had images from all the SW movies up to and including Rogue One, so I tried to get at least one from each.
Some of them are original artwork that I found pretty.

Others are stills from the movies that make me laugh in some way.

Others are shots from the movies that I simply find beautiful.
There are also movie poster images. This TPM poster with Vader as Anakin’s shadow is probably my favorite SW movie poster of all time.
And of course, some have a more personal meaning. This image of Luke on Ahch-To reminds me of the trip I took to its filming location, the island of Skellig Michael in Ireland.
Happy Star Wars Day everyone! May the Fourth be with you! How do you guys celebrate Star Wars in your daily lives?
I’ve always loved Star Wars, I’m old enough to have gone to the cinema to see the original one when it was released. The new ones have been released in December on our wedding anniversary, so my wife and I have already booked a date for this year.

What a great built-in anniversary celebration! Hopefully they’ll keep making more movies for you guys to see. Enjoy!

I’m so old that I think of May 25 as the real Star Wars Day, because that’s the day the first movie was first shown in theaters.

Maybe we should just extend it to Star Wars Month to cover both? I would support a whole month-long celebration 😀

I just finished blogging about my Star Wars May the 4th celebration which was quite special for me. But you’re so right about the artwork on those images, it’s awesome! Happy May the 4th, Mei-Mei 🙂

Hello Mei-Mei, I wish I had an office to decorate with Star Wars images/posters but I only have a laptop computer on a dining table as my workspace! But I do have the Admiral Ackbar image as a 10×8 glossy photo!! And I got it autographed TWICE by Tim Rose who played him.! He signed the photo side to “For Tyeth” and on the reverse he signed the picture to me using my “Earth Name”! And Happy May the Fourth Day!

Hello again, thank you. I have the picture in a double sided picture frame, the type with two sheets of glass that sandwich the photo so I can flip it over when I need to show the back signature to friends. And stay safe, it’s “Revenge of the Fifth” day!

I had to watch some of the movie marathon on cable. And I play Star Wars Commander game almost everyday. May the 4th be with you too 🙂

Ah, is the game good? It looks like it could be fun and I haven’t played a SW game in a while.

Yes, it is a good for a tower-type game. You can use many characters and troopers that celebrate the star wars universe 👍😀

As a series, Star Wars is quite good. The only problem is that Social Justice Warriors ruined The Last Jedi.

Ruined it for whom? Not me. If TLJ had problems, I would say they came from bad plotting and pacing rather than being “overly” inclusive. I have enjoyed the diversity of the new SW films. I’m glad you seem to enjoy the films overall, too.

Mei-Mei, there were claims by some people, the Social Justice Warriors, that Star Wars was not diverse enough. Really?
