From Dublin.
This is Grafton Street, a busy shopping district in the heart of Dublin. We had a lot of fun walking down it looking in shops, buying sweets, and watching the street performers. It has been completely pedestrianized, which makes for a nice commercial district.
This photo, however, was taken on an early Sunday morning as my mom and I went to meet our departing tour bus. I was struck by how quiet the area seemed in contrast to its usual bustle: stores and restaurants closed, only a few people here and there on the wet morning sidewalk. It was a different side of Dublin, peaceful and full of promise.
It’s lovely! A real feeling of silence and history to it =)
