Another year has come and gone here on the blog, and it was a big one for me personally as I was pregnant for most of the year and then had my first kid just in time for Thanksgiving. Being a new mom has definitely been a big change, and I’m still not sure what it means for my blog except that I’m not able to write as often. I hope to continue this year with my Weekly Photo Challenges and participating in the bimonthly GeekyNerdy Book Club and the monthly Star Wars coloring book Fan Art Friday. Apart from that I hope to do a “real” post every week or two.
The topics I want to cover this year include more book reviews of all kinds, video games, and a few brief science literacy topics. Also I’m watching a lot of TV and Netflix right now (thanks, kid), so you might see some of that here, too. Of course, I will always have various Star Wars topics. What would you guys like to read about this year?
In 2017, I had 14,255 views from 9,735 visitors, which is down a bit from the previous year, but I also didn’t post as much. I did have 604 comments which is a few more than the previous year, so I’m glad I was able to still have a high level of engagement with visitors. Here are some of the posts that drew people to the site.

Best wishes to everyone in the new year! What are you looking forward to in 2018?
Interesting to hear about your stats. May not have gotten as many views as the last year like you said, but overall it looks like your blog has been trending up over the years so congratz on that. Wasn’t previously aware you’d started in 2012. Props to sticking with it too.

Yes about 3 people read my blog in 2012 haha. Not including my parents. I try not to care too much about the stats but it’s fun to look at. I also like seeing all the search terms that bring people haha

Look at that, 126 countries getting to share in the beauty of Ireland, well done you. In fact, you should be given an award from Failte Ireland for all your good work

Ireland does all the work itself! I would visit again in a heartbeat. Happy to spread the love.

Babies are bring big changes. Last weekend I visited the friend whose wedding I was in back in 2016 to meet her 2-month-old daughter, and my friend is still mind-boggled about how things have changed since her baby was born. Especially the fact that her daughter’s feeding and sleeping schedule dictates hers now! 🙂 I hope all is going well with your little Jedi.

Hi Mei-Mei, congrats on your blog’s stats! And I wouldn’t worry about your post count, when I started I was posting EVERY day (and that included a lightsaber design for each) and I got to the point where I nearly burnt myself out. Your blog posts will always get folks to return and read however often you post them (you even prompted me to take up colouring!) Oh and “Bushes of Love” is a classic, have you seen “Seagulls, NO!”? 😀

Oh, I love the “Seagulls” one! It’s hilarious!
I’m so glad you and others are sharing the love of coloring 🙂 I’m pretty proud of how much work I’ve put into my blog, but right now I just have new priorities haha

Hi again, there are a few other “BLR” videos including “Hostiles on the Hill” and “Not the Future” which are pretty good too. Raising a good Jedi Youngling is hard work…ask Luke!
