Another sketch from my high school notebook. I don’t know why these Chinese and Japanese characters from Cardcaptor Sakura are celebrating the US Independence Day, but hey, I gave them cute costumes. Li Syaoran is Uncle Sam, Sakura is the Statue of Liberty, and Meiling is doing acrobatics in a festive parade-watching outfit.
I hope you all here in the US have a great holiday weekend (if you’re really lucky this year it’s four days :)). Even if our country’s not perfect, we have a lot to be proud of and thankful for. We can celebrate and look forward to an even better future together.
Those drawings are really cute 🙂 . I hope you have a great weekend!

Thanks for reminding us fellow Americans of the positives about our country. It’s very hard to do sometimes, with the way things seem to be heading…
Speaking of positive: I love your drawing! Meiling reminds me a bit of Sailor Moon.
Btw, I’ve been meaning to email you, but I haven’t forgotten about your GoFundMe perk. I’m working on one of the other chapter critiques right now. How are things looking for you in the writing realm?

Meiling does have a very similar hairstyle! I always loved that.
I will definitely be ready for the critique soon. Do you want to drop me a line when you are ready, or I can just send it over next week or so and you can get to it when you can?

How about I email you when I’m ready? It might not be until the beginning of August, if that’s OK. I’m currently beta-reading a friend’s manuscript before she sends it to her agent later this summer.
