From Beara Peninsula.
This tiny calf will soon grow to be as large as the other adults in the field. We were there in July, so I’m guessing he was less than a year old.
We saw nearly as many cows as sheep while in Ireland; the Irish are very proud of their dairy industry, and with good reason.
You capture Ireland so well. I can probably see a hundred cows from my bedroom window, but never look at them. But look around the calf, ‘the moorlands and meadows and their Forty Shades of Green’. Your pictures would make anybody homesick, and I live here 🙂
