This is my favorite I’ve done so far! I just adore this Slave Leia drawing (despite the terrible “boobs and butt” pose—can we quit with that already?).
I had a lot of fun with the shadowing and the colors here. I wanted to keep the color palate in kind of earthy tones, so I shaded the gold and green parts with a light brown to tone it down. And I added some orange to Leia’s gold to give it a more bronze tone.
Here’s the work in progress from a few weeks ago:
I also did a couple more mandalas:
Looks good! I really should get on buying some colored pencils. We could do a posting every week or something together. Omg, that would be cool. We could both do the same picture and see how it turns out and why we went with what we did. YES LETS. Says me who is giving birth in almost a month but still…I think that would be fun.

I LOVE this idea. It doesn’t have to be every week or anything lol. You will definitely be busy soon!
I heard there is a colored pencil shortage right now, thanks to the coloring book craze (not even joking).

Haha I love it when I type ideas and then I’m like…wait that’s actually a really cool idea and I’m going to run with it.
That’s interesting about the colored pencils. Let me see if I can get to Michael’s this weekend to see if they have any. Do you suggest a large range or just about 20 are fine?
I’m totally into this now. I latch onto ideas and don’t let them go (a good thing when starting a business, a bad thing when my husband mentions something to do in the vague future and I take it to mean tomorrow).
I’ll keep you updated on my progress with finding colored pencils and then maybe we can go from there.

That top one is like an Alphonse Mucha poster, and you’ve chosen similar colors.

Yes! I love the combo of the Art Nouveau style with the Star Wars theme, so interesting.
