From Dublin.
My mom and I had a lovely tea at Gallaher’s in Dublin. Scones, sandwiches, pastries, good china—it was the full experience.
We got very spoiled being able to drink tea with any meal in Ireland. Restaurants will bring you your own small pot, with milk and sugar.
great post in response to WPC-dinnertime!

Beautiful photo! Did you know I’m a tea enthusiast? Like, seriously drink about 2-3 cups a day (when I’m not pregnant – unfortunately little Ayla seems to only like black tea so I’ve had to cut down to once a day. Can’t wait until I enjoy the taste of other teas again!).
I do think America has forsaken tea for coffee and it makes me sad. Asking for tea in restaurant usually means that either a) they’ll have about 3 options, and/or b) the brand/quality is horrible. Don’t even get me started on Bigelow tea (hurls).
I can’t wait to go to Ireland and England and have tea ALL THE TIME woooo.

I did not know that! Yay, a fellow tea-drinker. I don’t drink it quite that often lol, but I vastly prefer it to coffee. Chai is my absolute favorite, especially with a little milk.
When I got back to the states, the first time I went out for breakfast I tried to get tea and they gave me a mug of hot water and some random cheap teabag, no milk no sugar. I was like “ohhhh right” and I don’t think I’ve tried that again since haha.
