When the 2014 Oscar nominations were announced in January, I checked the only two categories I care about: Best Original Score (no John Williams this year) and Best Animated Feature Film.
And I was shocked. First, that The LEGO Movie had not been nominated. But also, that meant I hadn’t seen a single one of the animated movies that had been nominated, not even the Disney/Marvel movie Big Hero 6.
Well, that had to change. So now I’m going through the list, watching them all as they’re released to DVD and added to Netflix. And naturally I’ll be sharing my thoughts in a series of short posts. Because animated movies are not only for kids!
We’ll start this week with the Oscar winner, Big Hero 6.
The only one I saw from the nominee list was How to train your dragon 2, which I loved. 🙂

That’s the only one I have yet to see now! I can’t wait, because I loved the first one 🙂

Yay let me know about Big Hero 6. I thought it looked dumb but a lot of my friends with kids said it was actually really great.

I really enjoyed it, but I’m a sucker for Disney and superheroes–the post about it will be up on Friday. 🙂
