Weekly Photo Challenge: Rule of Thirds

??????????

From highlands around Quito, Ecuador.

The highland cloud forest features shrubs, grasses, ferns, mosses, and epiphytes clinging to the (short) trees.  The climate is cool and moist, with misty, overcast skies.  Cloud forests feature many endemic species, and it’s also not uncommon to see a farmer’s animals out grazing on the hills.   Furthermore these highlands serve an important ecological function as watersheds.

One day I’ll do the thirds rule really well. I still can’t master it though.

This was a hard challenge for me, as I tend to focus more on the subject than the composition (especially when I was in the Galapagos). I love learning things like this to improve my photos!
