Here’s a card I made recently for a friend–she will soon be a mom for the first time. I made it using the really adorable It’s a Boy cardstock and the new puzzle piece shape maker.
I sent my mom a Star Wars ecard. There are lots of them for all different occasions at starwars.com/play/ecards.
My mom was understandably instrumental in cultivating my nerdiness–she read to me all the time and bought me lots of B-O-O-K-S. She also used words like “impish” and “strategic.” With a first grader. She put me to work writing obits at her newspaper in elementary school. She also taught me to sew and bake (although nowadays I do a lot more baking than sewing). And she reads my blog all the time.
